"As a start-up business and coach I was struggling to find the time to move my business forwards and get the day-to-day admin done. I booked in a call and was given some great ideas to support me at different price points which really helped.

She now handles client bookings, invoicing, website updates, emails, ads and just about anything I throw at her. She's friendly, professional, supportive and easy to work with."

Frequently asked questions

  • How long does it take to build a website?
In general, building a website can take from around one to six months, depending on your goals and resources. I know that “it depends” may not satisfy you as an answer, especially when you're excited to take your website live! But it will depend on the size of website and the software being used. (Wix is generally quicker than WordPress. As a guide, most simple start-up and small business websites we do are completed within a month. For a website re-design or website strategy plan, this can be a little quicker.
  • How often should I update the style of my site?
Every 5 years or so the website begins to look tired and out of date. No one’s updated the blog since last year, and the website footer says 2020! It’s best to stay up to date with current trends and what your audience want. But also, it’s vital to have a clear website strategy enabling your content and blogging to stay relevant and optimised for traffic.
  • Do you do small edits as well as full redesigns and new websites?
Yes, we do! Whether you need minor edits, updates to existing content, or a complete overhaul of your website, Moon Digital is here to help. We understand that every business has unique needs, so we offer flexible services to accommodate both small adjustments and large-scale projects. Just let us know what you require, and we’ll work with you to achieve your goals.
  • Can you add tracking and analytics to the website?
Absolutely! We understand the importance of tracking and analytics in measuring your website's performance and user engagement. We can integrate tools like Google Analytics and other tracking systems to provide you with valuable insights into your website traffic, user behaviour, and overall effectiveness. This data is crucial for making informed decisions to improve your site and grow your business. See more here.
  • What website software do you use?
We choose Wix, Elementor, and WordPress for website building because each platform has its unique strengths that cater to different business needs: Wix: Ideal for startups and small businesses seeking an intuitive, drag-and-drop website builder with beautiful templates and built-in SEO tools. It’s perfect for those who want a user-friendly experience without needing extensive technical knowledge. Elementor: A powerful WordPress page builder that allows for extensive customization and flexibility. It's great for businesses looking to create visually stunning websites with unique layouts while benefiting from WordPress's robust features. WordPress: Known for its scalability and versatility, WordPress is the go-to choice for businesses that may need more complex functionalities or a vast library of plugins. It's perfect for growing businesses that want control over their website’s features and SEO optimisation. We'll recommend the best software for your needs and budget when you work with us.
  • I’ve tried SEO and blogging before. How will your website strategy and approach be different?
Firstly, most agencies are big companies that have many clients and staff. They cannot provide the hands-on approach needed to really get to know your business. Most SEO agencies also take a very narrow view of your business and marketing. Our strategy starts with a deep exploration of your business priorities. From this initial conversation, we can research opportunities and suggest changes to ensure your website reflects your business. Blogging aimlessly about the new office mascot or producing a near duplicate of that page you saw on a competitor site will rarely lead to success! It’s a colossal waste of time. You need a strategy that shows you exactly what to write to attract buyers/clients and a way to implement it. And don’t worry if you don’t have time to implement it, I can do that for you too if you like! An SEO agency will bill you monthly, making minor changes for incremental growth. Their methods are often opaque, and they’re rarely responsible for suggesting or creating new content. They use automated software and don’t explain their methods so that you understand what is happening. What you need is to be in control. We create a clear structure and approach for growth that includes changes to the website structure and content (where needed), as well as an on-going SEO blogging strategy based on thorough key terms research and proven SEO writing strategies. Marry this with our hands-on support in enacting the plan, you get a transparent and simple to follow SEO approach you can have full control of. And if you don’t want to do anything yourself that’s fine too. We can do the on-going SEO posting and blogging for you to save you time. How hands-on we are really is up to you. We’re a small team of just two and we dedicate our time to a handful of clients at a time to ensure success. Working with just one designer/marketer means that your aims and priorities are fully understood and implemented by the same person you’re talking to! Not some junior designer just out of college on minimum wage that doesn’t truly care. That’s the difference. We consider ourselves to be an extension of your team.
  • Do you write the copy content?
If your time is limited, we can help with this. We can support you with copy content and page creation or we can provide guidance and frameworks for creating content that wins traffic and generates business. If you’d like to write the pages yourself, your personalised strategy will contain everything you need. It can be helpful to get a few pages professionally written though, so you have a framework to use.
  • Will I have to rebuild my website to improve the design, SEO or conversions?
We always try to avoid rebuilds if possible. They’re expensive and time-consuming. Of course, if you’ve rebranded or suspect your website’s been compromised, a rebuild may be necessary. Or if too many changes are required in order for the site to convert and success then we will let you know that too. But we will show you how to do it the right way. We prioritise website structure and a base layer of pages to generate relevant traffic. We’ll also show you which pages are important on your old site and how to ensure you don’t lose traffic. Many web design agencies do a great initial job of building and designing the site but then leave the business without a roadmap for what to do next and how to start getting the web traffic. If you do nothing, no-one will find your website online which means you’ve just wasted time and money on a website and hosting.
  • What if I’m too busy to implement a new strategy, write blogs or do any maintenance?
Website Strategy Planning: Once we’ve delivered your website plan and strategy, you’re in control. If you’d like us to implement the recommendations, we’re ready to go. If you’d like to do it yourself, we’ll point you in the right direction or help you find the right support. Website Maintenance: Just let us know what on-going support you need and consider us a member of your team! We have a range of maintenance plans and on-going assistance to support you.
  • How much does it cost to maintain a small business website?
The average website maintenance cost can vary significantly depending on factors such as the software and hosting used, complexity of the site, the frequency of updates, and the specific services required. However, as a rough estimate, website maintenance costs typically range from £50 to £250 per month for small businesses. You can rest assured we will create a website for you with the cheapest possible on-going maintenance and stress, using drag-and-drop software solutions aimed at keeping on-going development costs at a minimum.
  • What maintenance is required for a website?
Website maintenance can include a variety of tasks to ensure that a website is secure, functional, and provides a good user experience. Depending on your needs and budget, this could include: Website maintenance involves a variety of tasks Content: Keep content up-to-date, relevant, and accurate. Security Run regular security scans and audits, install security patches, and monitor for suspicious activity. You can also get an SSL certificate to verify the authenticity of your website and protect user data. Analytics Regularly review your content's performance using tools like Google Analytics 4 or Google Search Console
  • Do you sort the hosting and domains?
Yes we sort it all and can recommend the best WordPress hosting and domain purchasing providers for you. With Wix, we will guide you through the premium plan purchasing options, which include a free domain and hosting too.
  • Will you review my website and suggest what I need to do to it?
Absolutely! We offer comprehensive website reviews that assess various aspects, including design, functionality, user experience, and SEO performance. After our evaluation, we’ll provide you with actionable recommendations tailored to enhance your website’s effectiveness and ensure it meets your business goals. Whether you're looking for minor tweaks or significant changes, we’ve got you covered!
